At Savchenko's trial, prosecution completes presenting its evidence

The advocates of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko have critically assessed the evidence presented by the prosecution and the results of examinations, saying that most of them had been obtained in violation of the procedural legislation. At the stage of presenting its evidence, the defence plans to summon a number of witnesses, including General Vladimir Ruban, the head of the Centre "Officers' Corps" for release of prisoners.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Savchenko's case is heard at the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region since September 22. She is accused of involvement in the murder of two journalists of the Russia' VGTRK (State TV and Radio Company) near Lugansk on June 17, 2014, and illegal crossing the Russian border. On December 3, the court rejected the petition asking to disqualify the panel of judges.

According to Mark Feigin, one of the advocates, a larger part of the prosecution's evidence was obtained in violation of procedural legislation.
