Bodies of Nardaran casualties given out to relatives
In Azerbaijan, the bodies of those killed during a special operation in the village of Nardaran have been given out to relatives, who buried them into the local cemetery.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 29 Nardaran saw clashes of policemen with believers. As a result, the following persons were killed: Abbas Gusein, a resident of Ganja; Sarvan Safarov from the city of Masalli; the residents of Nardaran Akbar Babaev, Rafael and Paran Bunyadov, and policemen Vugar Nasibov and Ismail Tagiev. The policemen were buried on November 27, while the bodies of the rest of the casualties were not given out.
On December 4, relatives were summoned to the police department of the Sabunchu District and were allowed to take the bodies, the APA writes with reference to Akper Babaev, the father of the slain Nazim Babaev. According to his story, the bodies were taken from the mosque.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 1 power agents densely cordoned off Nardaran and brought armoured vehicles into the village. According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), as of December 2, 32 people were arrested since the start of the special operation. However, the local community said that searches and detentions continued on December 3.
