Law enforcers start installing barriers at entrance to Nardaran

In Azerbaijan, law enforcers started to place concrete slabs on the road in order to restrict access to the village of Nardaran. The Minister of Internal Affairs gave local residents a four-day term to voluntarily surrender their weapons.

On November 26, believers clashed with the police in the village of Nardaran. In the course of the special operation, law enforcers killed five persons and arrested other 32 people.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 1, armed law enforcers cordoned off tightly the village of Nardaran and brought their armoured vehicles there.

At the entrance to the village, the law enforcers installed barriers to limit road traffic and create a one-way road. Vehicles are allowed to enter the village only after a thorough inspection, the "Report.az" reports.

An investigative team of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan and the teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Ministry of National Security (MNS) are still working in Nardaran.

According to Ramil Usubov, Minister of Internal Affairs, the law enforcers keep the situation under control, and during the past two days, no incidents occurred in the village.
