Bachi-Yurt residents cannot go to work because of restrictions imposed by law enforcers
On November 28, residents of the village of Bachi-Yurt of the Kurchaloi District of Chechnya, who work in other localities, failed to come to work because of the full blockade of the village by law enforcers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 28, according to local residents, the village of Bachi-Yurt was cordoned off by law enforcers and blocked in connection with the fact that a portrait of one of the family members of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was burned in the village. According to local residents, the law enforcers detained in large numbers the persons suspected of the arson.
The actions of the law enforcers are a gross violation of the law. This was noted by a leader of one of the Chechen NGOs. According to him, it is an "open application by the authorities of the principle of collective punishment for someone's act of hooliganism."
The source treats the arson of a portrait of Ramzan Kadyrov or someone of his family members as an expression of protest.
