In Georgia, four persons detained on charge of involvement in IS

In the village of Nasakirali of the Ozurgeti District, four persons were detained on the charge of involvement in the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), and weapons were seized from them.

According to the Georgian State Security Service, grenades, submachine guns and a flag of the "Islamic State" (recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia, the US, and a number of other countries), were seized from the house of the main suspect. The Georgian State Security Service reports that two of the detainees are father and son, the "Trend" reports.

The Georgian State Security Service is engaged in the legal prosecution of all Georgian citizens, who stay in Syria. This was reported by Levan Izoriya, the deputy head of the Georgian State Security Service.

"The number of Georgian citizens leaving the country has decreased significantly. Today, about 50 citizens of Georgia stay in Syria," reported the deputy head of the Georgian State Security Service.

According to him, "criminal proceedings are initiated against the persons, whose involvement in crimes is proved by concise facts."
