Coordinator of truckers' protest action in Volgograd announces provocation

Unidentified persons have punctured a tire of the car belonging to Alexei Ulyanov, a coordinator of the protest action of truck drivers in Volgograd. The activist associates the incident with the fact that he was going to go to Moscow to support the protest action of truck drivers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russian truck drivers, including in the Volgograd Region, are protesting against the system "Platon", introduced to collect tolls from trucks for the use of roads of federal significance. The truck drivers are going to go to Moscow to continue their protest action there.

This morning, Alexei Ulyanov, the coordinator of the protest action of truck drivers in Volgograd, the leader of the "Public Independent Inspection", has found out that the rear tire of his car was punctured. The activist associates the incident with his "planned visit to Moscow to take part in the truckers' protest action."

"The tires of my car were repeatedly punctured. Besides, they threw firecrackers under the wheels of my car. However, we are still going to take part in the protest action," Alexei Ulyanov has emphasized.

Besides, today, Alexei Ulyanov has been invited to the Volgograd GIBDD (road police). "I talked to Victor Grigorov, Chief of the GIBDD Department for the Volgograd Region of the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). We talked about the organization of the tomorrow's action, and I was not subjected to pressure," the activist has explained.
