Putting Magomed Khazbiev on wanted list found legal
In Magas, the court has dismissed the complaint about the illegality of inclusion of Ingush opposition activist Magomed Khazbiev in the international wanted list.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 25, the Department for Ingushetia of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that Magomed Khazbiev and his family members were suspected of car theft and possession of weapons. The activist, who was put on the wanted list, called the suspicions a political persecution.
The defence of Magomed Khazbiev has filed a complaint to the court to recognize illegal the inclusion of the activist in the international wanted list. On November 23, the complaint was considered at the session of the Magas District Court.
"I have filed a complaint, since there is evidence proving illegality of the decision. We have learned that the Interpol never put Magomed Khazbiev in the international wanted list. I have submitted the document to the court," said advocate Khedy Ibrieva to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Khedy Ibrieva, the court has dismissed the defence motion. The advocate intends to appeal against the decision of the court.
