Murder of Mukhtar Kurbanov involves "Shamil" militants, investigators assert
Members of an illegal armed formation (IAF), acting in the Shamil District of Dagestan, are involved in the murder of Mukhtar Kurbanov, the head of the village of Teletl, who was killed in the evening of November 21. This was reported by an official from the investigating authorities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mukhtar Kurbanov, the head of the village of Teletl of the Shamil District, was killed in the evening of November 21. He had been holding his position since June 2014.
According to investigators, two persons are involved in the murder.
At about 10:00 p.m. of November 21, the criminals entered the territory of the house of Mukhtar Kurbanov. They had waited until the official left the house. Then, they shot and killed him from an automatic firearm and fled. This was reported in the message posted on the website of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) on November 22.
The message does not disclose the names of the persons suspected of the murder of the village head.
According to the basic version of the investigators, the murder of the head of the Teletl village involves members of a local illegal armed formation (IAF), the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports with reference to the press service of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan.
