Board of Judges refuses to grant ecologist Valery Brinikh's complaint
No violations have been revealed in the activities of Judge Turkova. This conclusion has been made by the Qualification Board of Judges of Adygea following the results of the consideration of the complaint filed by ecologist Valery Brinikh.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Asya Turkova, Judge of the Maikop City Court, considered two civil cases with claims against the ecologist as the author of critical articles about Joint-Stock Company (JSC) "Kievo-Zhuraki APK" and Vyacheslav Derev, a senator from the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR).
In October, Valery Brinikh, Chairman of the Adygea branch of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, sent to the High Qualification Board of Judges of the Republic of Adygea a complaint with the request to bring Asya Turkova, Judge of the Maikop City Court, to disciplinary responsibility.
According to the complainant, "when considering the claim of Vyacheslav Derev, a Karachay-Cherkessian senator, the Judge admitted the falsification of the case."
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 17, 2014, the Court found extremist the Valery Brinikh's article "The Silence of the Lambs", in which the ecologist had described the problem of environmental pollution resulting from a local pig-breeding complex of JSC "Kievo-Zhuraki APK" in Adygea. On October 1, it became known that Valery Brinikh is accused of promoting extremism. In November, the charge was changed to extremist activity in a group of persons.
