Armenia completes preliminary investigation into Valery Permyakov's case

Till present, the case against Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, accused of murdering a family in Gyumri, has not been sent to the court, since investigators should make the decision concerning one of the motions filed by the victim party, the essence of which is not disclosed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to the investigators, Valery Permyakov has confessed that at night of January 12, he killed seven Avetisyan family members in Gyumri. On August 12, Valery Permyakov was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment on the charges of desertion, theft, and illegal possession of weapons.

In the nearest future, the criminal case, consisting of 26 volumes, will be transferred to the court of first instance of general jurisdiction of the Shirak Region. This was reported by an official from the press service of the Armenian General Prosecutor's Office. According to the official, the indictment has not yet been approved by the prosecutor, since on November 16, the advocates of the successors to the Avetisyan family filed a new motion in the criminal case.

According to Lusine Saakyan, the advocate of the successors to the Avetisyan family, the date of the transfer of the case to the court depends on the decision of the investigators concerning the motion filed by the victim party.
