Resident of Makhachkala accused of financing militants

In Makhachkala, a criminal case against a local resident has been brought to the court. According to investigators, he handed over the amount of 10,000 roubles to members of the armed underground.

In November 2013, according to the investigators, in the village of Tarki, O. Mutalimov handed over the money to his acquaintance to support the activities of an illegal armed formation (IAF). In connection with the above fact, the man is charged under Part 1 of Article 208 (financing of an armed formation not envisaged by federal law) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has approved the indictment in the criminal case and sent it for consideration on the merits to the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala, the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 16, the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office announced the transfer to the court of the criminal case against Makhachkala resident Nariman Abuzyarov, accused of purchasing food for a militant grouping and transportation of militants.
