Two policemen charged in Tskaev's death case

The ICRF has accused Atsamaz Datiev and Oleg Dzampaev, the employees of the Interior Department for Vladikavkaz, the figurants in the case of the death of the detainee Vladimir Tskaev, of abuse of power with use of violence.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on November 1, Vladimir Tskaev, 39, suspected of inflicting a gunshot wound to a policeman, died in a hospital in Vladikavkaz. According to his relatives, Tskaev died from torture. On November 5, the Lenin District Court of Vladikavkaz ruled to put policemen Datiev and Dzampaev in custody. On November 8, information appeared about detention of the third suspected policeman – Azamat Tsukkiev. The figurants themselves stated their non-involvement in this crime.

Investigators believe that Datiev and Dzampaev used violence against the detainee Tskaev, Eduard Gusov, Senior Assistant to the Head of the Department for North Ossetia of the ICRF, said today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, the policemen are charged with abuse of power with violence (Article 286, Part 3, subsection "a" of the Russian Criminal Code. The article provides for three to ten years in prison.

In the near future, charged will be presented to the third figurant in the case, said Eduard Gusov.
