Orkhan Djemal tells audience of "Rain" TV Channel about Ramzan Kadyrov's rebranding

The public image of Ramzan Kadyrov has changed significantly. At present, the Chechen media present him not as a combative commander of the "Putin's combat infantry", but as a humane and caring ruler. This was told to the audience of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel by journalist Orkhan Djemal. These changes have taken place in less than one year before the end of the term of office of the Chechen leader.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 2, the Chechen State Radio and TV Company (ChSRTC) "Grozny" announced the prevention of an assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov plotted by the young men from the town of Argun. In front of the TV cameras, Ramzan Kadyrov himself had a conversation with residents of Argun, who, according to him, fell victims to the extremist propaganda. All the detainees were released without any charges.

On November 8, in the show of "Burden of News" on the "Dozhd" TV Channel, journalist Orkhan Djemal stated that the story on the prevention of the assassination, like other stories involving Ramzan Kadyrov, proves the change of his public image.

"Ramzan Kadyrov has changed quickly and abruptly. Recently, he commanded parades of the Putin's combat infantry and threatened to open fire on policemen, who would dare to carry out special operations in the Chechen republic without his permission. And at present, he is engaged in soul-saving conversations... And now, on his page in Instagram, Ramzan Kadyrov posts videos showing how he walks in a park and throws up yellow autumn leaves," Orkhan Djemal has noted.
