CTO legal regime introduced in Nalchik

Today, in the afternoon, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been introduced within a part of the territory of Nalchik. This was reported by the Operational Headquarters for Kabardino-Balkaria.

At 11:15 a.m. Moscow time, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced within the territory bounded by Kalmykov, Makhov, Budaev, Dobrovolsky, Dagestanskaya, Idarov, and Shogenov Streets and Youth and Korchagin Lanes.

The special operation is being carried out "in order to prevent the commission of terror acts, ensure security of citizens, organizations and institutions, and search and detain fugitive members of the armed underground," the "TASS" quotes the message of the Operational Headquarters for Kabardino-Balkaria as reporting.

Recently, the CTO legal regime was introduced in Nalchik at night of August 3. Then, according to the "Caucasian Knot", a group of armed men was blocked at a nine-storey building in No. 33 in Musov Street. They refused to surrender and were killed. In total, six persons were killed, including a man suspected of the murder of Takhir Guziev, Chief of the Headquarters for the Cherek District of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). In the morning of August 3, the CTO legal regime was cancelled.
