Krasnodar: builders block access to shore of Karasun Lake, "EcoWatch" reports
In Krasnodar, on the shore of the Karasun Lake, builders have installed a fence and thus blocked the access for residents to the coastal area, the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch) reports.
"The fact of the installation of the fence violates the rights of residents of Krasnodar and contradicts the Water Code of the Russian Federation, according to which 20-meter coastal strips along water bodies have the status of common areas," reports the message published on the website of the "EcoWatch".
In April, in the fenced territory, builders started works on the construction of 16-storey residential complex. On April 18, 2015, residents of neighbouring houses came to a rally. After the protest actions, the Mayor's Office made a decision to revoke the permission to build a 16-storey building on the shore of the KarasunLake.
The ecologists note that the installation of the fence indicates the appearance of the developer, who is ready to continue the construction of the multi-storey building.
Let us remind you that in this May, about 300 residents of Krasnodar came to a rally against urban development of the KarasunLakes. The protest action took place in the residential district of Komsomolsky on the shore of the KarasunLake where the residential complex "Beach Resort" is under construction.
