In case of Vladimir Tskaev's death, detainees suspended from duty
In case if the guilt of the policemen suspected of involvement in the death of a resident of Vladikavkaz is confirmed, they will be dismissed from the police. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for North Ossetia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 2, the North Ossetian MIA announced that at night of November 1, Vladimir Tskaev, a 39-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz, suspected of wounding a policeman from a firearm, died at the Vladikavkaz Republican Clinical Hospital. On November 4, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) announced the detention of two staff members of the Criminal Investigation Department for Vladikavkaz on suspicion of abuse of power and use of violence.
Update of the "Caucasian Knot" as at 10:13 a.m. Moscow time of November 05, 2015. On November 2, the North Ossetian MIA has reported that the Minister of Internal Affairs has suspended from duty the deputy chief for operative activities and three field investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department for Vladikavkaz of the MIA's Department. The press service does not specify whether they are the same MIA's staff members, whose suspension from duty has been reported earlier.
According to the MIA's press service, the detainees are suspended from duty for the period of investigation.
"In case if the guilt of the MIA's staff members is confirmed, they will be dismissed from the MIA's bodies and will be punished in accordance with the applicable law. Meanwhile, their direct supervisors will be subjected to disciplinary punishment, up to dismissal," the MIA's website reports.
