Residents of Makhachkala light 224 candles in memory of victims to crash of Airbus A321

Residents of the capital of Dagestan paid tribute to the victims to the crash of the Airbus A321 of the "Kogalymavia" airlines in Egypt. In the centre of Makhachkala, participants of the memorial action lit 224 candles, as equal to the number of the victims to the plane crash.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, the Airbus A321 of the "Kogalymavia" airlines, which was carrying out flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to Saint Petersburg, crashed in Egypt. 224 people on board were killed, including natives of the Krasnodar Territory, the city of Volgograd, and three natives of Dagestan.

On November 3, in the central square of Makhachkala, officials from the City Committee for Sports and Youth Affairs organized the memorial action. According to the organizers, about 150 people came to the action.

The memorial event was attended by activists of youth organizations of the city, students, employees of the city administration, and other city residents. The memorial action ended with laying flowers.

Earlier, the experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have noted that they do not rule out the version of the involvement of militants from Northern Caucasus in the crash of the Airbus A321.
