In Ingushetia, law enforcers discover about four tons of explosives

In Ingushetia, two hidings with barrels, filled with explosives, were discovered in the forest area near the road Kantyshevo-Achaluki. The total power of the bombs exceeds 3.5 tons of TNT equivalent.

All the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were destroyed.

"FSB officers have managed to prevent a series of resonant terror acts to be committed by militants, who swore allegiance to the ISIL ( the 'Islamic State' (IS, earlier ISIL), the organization banned in Russia, note of the 'Caucasian Knot')," the "Interfax" quotes an official from the press service of the FSB Department for Ingushetia as reporting.

The discovered hidings were arranged by killed militant leaders Makhauri and Byutukaev, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the press service of the Ingush Department of the Russian FSB.

Update as at 11:35 a.m. Moscow time of November 04, 2015. The RIA "Novosti" reports that according to the FSB, the neutralized items belonged to Aslan Byutukaev and Beslan Makhauri, the leaders of North-Caucasian militants. Earlier, Beslan Makhauri had been killed in Ingushetia. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Beslan Makhauri, who, according to law enforcers, used to be an agent of Dokku Umarov, the leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz", was killed in Nazran on October 31. Aslan Byutukaev, a commander of the battalion of suicide bombers "Riyad al-Salikhiyn", was put on the federal wanted list.
