Court extends ban on operation of café "Opera" in Mineralnye Vody
The Stavropol Regional Court has extended the sanctions against the café "Opera" in the city of Mineralnye Vody, near which a fight ended with murder occurred in January. The operation of the café "Opera" has been suspended until the actual elimination of violations of fire safety rules.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of January 21, in Mineralnye Vody, contract soldier Dmitry Sidorenko was stabbed and killed in the mass fight near the café "Opera". According to the police, the fight was caused by a domestic conflict. On May 26, at the complaint filed by the prosecutor, the City Court prohibited the operation of the building of the café "Opera" until elimination of violations of fire safety rules.
On August 20, the Mineralnye Vody City Court removed the ban on the operation of the cafe building at the request of the defendants. However, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, the Stavropol Regional Court has cancelled the decision of the court of first instance and upheld the earlier injunctive relief, the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the Stavropol Territory reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that the café "Opera" was closed after the fight. The Mayor's Office of Mineralnye Vody has filed a complaint to the court against the illegal placement of the café "Opera". The City Court has granted the request on the closure and demolition of the café; however, at the owner's appeal, the Stavropol Regional Court cancelled the decision of the court of first instance and registered the complainant's property right to the building.
