Resident of Dagestan sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for involvement in IAF

The Levashi District Court of the Republic of Dagestan has found a resident of the village of Okhli of the Levashi District guilty of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 22, the case against the suspect was transferred to the court. According to investigators, in May 2014, Labazanov joined an IAF, operating in the territory of the Buynaksk and Karabudakhkent Districts. Officials from the Prosecutor's Office have noted that the suspect used to secretly transport wanted members of the IAF in his car and perform other actions to ensure the activities of the IAF.

The Court has sentenced the resident of Dagestan to 5 years and 3 months of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony.
