Court arrests second person involved in case of plotting terror act in Moscow
The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow has pronounced the decision to take Elman Ashaev, a resident of Grozny, one of the persons, suspected of plotting terror acts in Moscow, into custody until December 12.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Court of Moscow is to pronounce the pre-trial restriction measures for three persons, detained by FSB agents on October 11 and suspected of plotting a terror act. According to law enforcers, the detainees were trained in Syria in camps of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS, earlier ISIL) recognized in Russia as illegal. Today, Aslan Baisultanov, a native of Grozny, one of the suspects, was arrested until December 12.
The investigator asked the Court to take Elman Ashaev into custody and justified the request by the fact that Elman Ashaev is "suspected of committing grave and especially grave crimes, and therefore, he is likely to hide from the investigators, destroy pieces of evidence, and prevent the course of justice."
According to the Court, Elman Ashaev has brought to an apartment in Strelbischensky Lane a detonator and an improvised explosive device (IED) to commit an explosion in a public place in Moscow. The IED and the detonator were seized by FSB agents during a search of the apartment in Strelbischensky Lane.
