In Dagestan, Kvanada village becomes centre of special operation
In the Tsumada District of Dagestan, law enforcers are engaged in special activities carried out within the counterterrorist operation (CTO) mostly in the village of Kvanada, local residents report. They also report on large number of soldiers and searches conducted.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 6:00 a.m. Moscow time, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced within the entire territory of the Tsumada District. This is the second large-scale special operation conducted in the Tsumada District in 2015. It was preceded by an attack on policemen committed by unidentified persons in the village of Kvanada on October 8.
On October 8, unidentified attackers opened fire on the car, in which policemen were hurrying to a place of an official task. A policeman got a severe gunshot wound.
In the village of Agvali, according to a staff member of the local school, all social facilities work as usually. He has also added that people in the district have got accustomed to special operations and that "no one pays attention to them."
According to Magomedzagid Ayubov, the chairman of the public council of the district, in the village of Gigatli-Urukh, no restrictions were imposed on movement of people, and they observe no special vehicles or soldiers.
