Residents of Derbent District report no CTO restrictions

In the Derbent District of Dagestan, local residents report that they have not yet experienced any restrictions in the area of the counterterrorist operation (CTO).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the administrative borders of the Derbent District.

Law enforcers are searching for members of a local grouping of militants, operating in the Derbent District. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies. According to the source, the wanted militants are involved in a number of crimes, including the murder of the fortune-teller, committed in September.

An official from the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has confirmed the possibility that the militants are involved in the murder.

Rashid, a resident of the village of Gedjukh, has noted that the situation in the village is normal; however, the villagers do not leave their village for the nearby forests without urgent need.

Let us remind you that this year, the CTO legal regime in Derbent and the Derbent District was also introduced for the period of July 3-September 2, after on June 17, a teacher was shot dead on the outskirts of the village of Verkhny Djalgan.
