CTO regime introduced in Gunib District of Dagestan

Today, the legal regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) has been introduced, and law enforcers are searching for militants in the Gunib District.

According to the operational headquarters for Dagestan, the CTO regime was introduced at 6:30 a.m. Moscow time.

"The activities are underway to find and neutralize members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) and their supporters," the "Interfax" quotes an official from the Dagestani operational headquarters as reporting.

Today, Dagestan has a day off, and the republic celebrates the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of September 11, the CTO regime was introduced in the territory between the villages of Batayurt, Novy Kurush, and Sadovoe. The special operation was related to the investigation into the case of the murder of Imam Magomed Khidirov committed in the village of Novy Kurush on September 9.
