Election observer in Rostov Region was detained by police

On September 13, at the polling station in the village of Veshenskaya, Sholokhov District of the Rostov Region, police detained an observer from the CPRF, who, as it turned out, was on the federal wanted list. The man was convoyed transported to the Ulyanovsk Region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13 the Rostov Region held the election of the governor and a number of local elections.

"At polling station No. 2587, criminal investigation agents detained an observer from the CPRF. It turned out that he had long been wanted on suspicion of committing a grave crime in the Ulyanovsk Region," Sergey Yusov, the chairman of regional election commission, said today.

According to his story, the suspect was identified according to documents, was detained directly at the station and has already been convoyed to the Ulyanovsk Region, said the "Interfax".

The recent elections in the region, according to Yusov, revealed an acute problem of criminalization of participants of electoral process. Thus, 29 candidates for deputies of representative bodies of municipalities had a criminal record, in particular, of thefts, robberies and frauds.
