Prosecutor's Office finds no violations in calculating compensations for damaged apartments in Nalchik
The formation of a package of documents as needed to pay out compensations for the damage caused to apartments in the course of two special operations in Nalchik is undertaken within the terms as stipulated by the law, said the Prosecutor's Office of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). Thus, the Office refused to prosecute local officials.
The prosecutor's check was held after the "Caucasian Knot" published an article on September 2 "Nalchik residents demand compensation for damages apartments".
The article stated that the apartments damaged during special operations in high-rise buildings in Shogentsukov Avenue and Musov Street had not been repaired yet, as reported by their owners. Officials said that they would have to wait for compensations for at least six months.
In the course of the check, employees of the Department for Supervising Execution of Federal Legislation of the Prosecutor's Office found that the documents for allocation of compensations are gathered by the Centre for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Fire Safety of Nalchik. Funds must be received from the Reserve Fund of the Russian Government for prevention and elimination of emergency situations and natural disasters, says the website of the Office.
Let us remind you that on July 23 during a special operation in one of the apartments of the house in Shogentsukov Avenue, six people were killed.
The second special operation took place August 3 in the micro-district of Aleksandrovka, in Musov Street. According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), six people were killed there, including a suspect of killing Takhir Guziev, the Chief of Staff of the division of the Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Cherek District.
