Sochi residents oppose development of "Gagarinskiy" micro-district
A meeting of residents of the "Gagarinskiy" micro-district was held in Sochi. The speakers demanded to cancel the plans of erecting high-rise buildings to "compact" the district.
The meeting was held on September 30 and was attended by more than 50 residents of apartment buildings from Novosyolov and Tchaikovsky Streets and Tsvetnoy Boulevard, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The tenants were outraged at the information published on the public cadastre map, that the land plot of public use located between the houses was allocated for multi-storey build-up.
Olga Kozinskaya, the chair of the public town-planning council of the city of Sochi, examined the documents submitted by residents on the spot and concluded that the build-up of the historical residential area in the district is inadmissible. "There are a children playground, a green area, and a recreation zone here. If the area is covered by additional residential blocks, it will lead to a disaster and collapse," said Olga Kozinskaya.
