Two suspected militants killed in Magaramkent District
Two suspected militants were killed by power agents in a shootout that broke out in the Magaramkent District of Dagestan at night on August 29.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 27 the Magaramkent District was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime in connection with the search for militants.
Power agents opened fire after their attempt to stop a car for inspection was followed by shooting from inside the car.
"A Russian-made car was moving along a country road. When law enforcers demanded to stop for checking documents, fire was opened from inside the car. Power agents managed to neutralize the attackers by response fire," the RIA "Dagestan" quoted the law enforcement spokesman as saying.
According to his story, after the shelling by power agents, the car caught fire. After extinguishing the fire, policemen found two dead bodies inside the car; two pistols were found close to them.
