Relative is suspected of killing officer of battalion "Sever" in Grozny

On suspicion of murdering Musa Ayubov, a deputy commander of the battalion of the Russian MIA "Sever", and his wife, Ayubov's nephew is detained in Grozny.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the bodies of the deputy commander of the battalion "Sever" and his wife with gunshot wounds were found on August 27 in their room of the battalion's hostel. According to sources, the suspect of committing the crime was detained.

According to investigators, the murder of Musa Ayubov and his wife was committed by his nephew Idris Ayubov.

According to the spokesman of the Investigating Department for Chechnya of the ICRF, there is information that the slain officer had repeated conflicts with his nephew, who had been engaged in drug dealing. "Apparently, this is what was the reason for killing his uncle; and he shot his wife dead in order not to leave a witness," said the spokesman.

The casualty had been a fellow serviceman in the battalion "Sever" of the detained Zaur Dadaev and wanted Ruslan Geremeev, now involved in the murder case in Moscow of the Russian politician Boris Nemtsov.

In 2010, according to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, Major Musa Ayubov, who then held the rank of lieutenant, was decorated, together with Dadaev, Geremeev and a number of other servicemen of the battalion "Sever", by the head of the Russian MIA with the Order of Courage.
