Dadaev's defence appeals against extension of his arrest
Shamsudin Tsakaev, the advocate of Zaur Dadaev, has appealed against the court's decision to extend until November 28 the arrest of his client, who is considered by investigators to be the main figurant in Boris Nemtsov's murder case.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27 in central Moscow. According to official data, in connection with his murder, five natives of Chechnya and Ingushetia were detained: Zaur Dadaev, Anzor Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Shagid Gubashev. All the five saw their charges but refused to plead guilty. On August 24 and 25, the Basmanny Court of Moscow ruled to extend their arrest until November 28.
Earlier, Shamsudin Tsakaev expressed his intention to demand for his client some form of restriction, not related with custody; and today he said that he had appealed against the court ruling.
"I have filed an appeal against the ruling of the Basmanny Court to extend Dadaev's arrest until November 28, asking to cancel it as unlawful and unjustified," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the advocate.
