Status of policeman wounded in Novy Khushet is satisfactory
The policeman wounded in an armed clash in the village of Novy Khushet feels well. The question of compensation for his wound "is being addressed in due course," the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) report.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 23, a special operation was started in the Lenin District of the capital of Dagestan, and three persons were killed near the village of Novy Khushet. An OMON (riot police) fighter was also wounded in the course of the special operation.
As a result of the special operation, Abdul Kurbanov, the leader of the local militants, and his subordinates Magomed Ibragimov and Magomed Abdulkhaliev were killed, a source in the law enforcement bodies reports. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has confirmed the killing of Abdul Kurbanov.
The wounded OMON fighter received medical treatment, his condition is satisfactory, and there is no threat to his life. This was reported by Fatina Ubaidatova, an officer of the press service of the Dagestani MIA.
In the afternoon of August 24, local residents heard shooting in the village. According to them, power agents visited houses and yards and checked IDs of the villagers.
On Monday, according to the local residents, the power agents did not carry out any active operations in the village. However, the people "have a feeling of tension and fear," notes Sharapudin Magomedov, the chairman of the public council of the village.
