Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of 146 cases of ceasefire violation

During the past day, the Armenian side shelled the Azerbaijani positions on the contact line 146 times, with the use of mortars and heavy machineguns, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the shelling was coming from the positions located in two regions of Armenia.

Besides, the shelling was carried out from the positions in the nameless heights in the Krasnoselsky District of Armenia: from there, the Azerbaijani troops in the nameless heights of the Gadabay District were shelled.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the shelling was silenced by return fire.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 23, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of 170 cases of shelling per day, and on August 22 of 135 cases.

Earlier, Nagorno-Karabakh has declared that in the period of August 16-22, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime in the contact line 900 times.
