In Makhachkala, organizers of press conference announce mass fabrication of cases against Salafis

Makhachkala hosts a press conference on the fabrication of criminal cases against Salafis. The press conference is also attended by relatives and lawyers of the persons detained in the case of the murder of district police inspector Shamil Abdurakhmanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, in the village of Novy Khushet of the Lenin District of Makhachkala, Shamil Abdurakhmanov, a 40-year-old senior district police inspector was shot dead in his office. On the same day, a suspected killers' car was found on the road Makhachkala-Kaspiysk.

According to the organizer of the press conference, during the day after the murder of the district police inspector, more than 10 persons, including disabled persons and women, were delayed in the case.

The organizer of the press conference has also noted that most of the detainees are residents of the village of Novy Khushet.

Earlier, investigators have associated the murder of the district police inspector in Makhachkala with his professional activities. Meanwhile, according to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), as of August 18, the investigators "have no information about the individuals who had committed the murder."
