CTO regime lifted in Untsukul District of Dagestan

Today, the legal regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO), introduced in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, was cancelled.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10 the Untsukul District of Dagestan was put under the CTO regime, during which on that very day four suspected militants were killed; on August 16, two more suspects were killed.

The CTO regime was lifted today at 6:00 p.m., the operative headquarters in Dagestan has reported.

"The CTO regime was lifted because of the completion of all operative-combat activities," the "Interfax" quotes the headquarters' message.

Let us note here that one of the August 16 casualties was identified by law enforcers as Magomed Abdullaev, the Amir of the mountainous sector of militants, known in the underground as Abu Dujana. Besides, those killed on August 10 included Magomed Suleimanov, the leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz" (declared a terrorist organization and banned in Russia).
