NAC confirms liquidation of leader of mountainous militant sector in Gimry
One of the men shot and killed on August 16 in the Untsukul District of Dagestan during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) has been pre-identified as Magomed Abdulaev, the leader of the mountainous sector of the organization "Imarat Kavkaz". This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 16, two persons were killed as a result of the shootout between militants and law enforcers in the forest near the village of Gimry. According to a source in the law enforcement bodies, one of the killed men was identified as 30-year-old Gadji Abdullaev, the Amir of the mountainous militant sector, well-known throughout the armed underground as Abu Dudjana, as the RIA "Dagestan" reported.
On August 17, the NAC officially reported on its website that one of the killed men "had been identified as Magomed Abdulaev aka Abu Dudjana," who led the so-called mountainous sector of the international terrorist organization "Imarat Kavkaz". According to the NAC, earlier, Magomed Abdulaev took part in combat actions in Syria.
"It is known that he is the man who intended to lead the criminal underground after the neutralization of Suleimanov," the NAC reports.
