Police officer killed in suburb of Makhachkala

This morning, a policeman was shelled in the village of Novy Khushet of the Lenin District of Makhachkala. He died from the injuries he got.

"Some unidentified persons opened fire on the policeman, when he went to work," reports a source in the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

The information has been confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan, the "Interfax" reports.

The killed policeman worked as a district police inspector. This was reported by the "Chernovik" (Draft) with reference to its source in the law enforcement bodies of Makhachkala. According to the source, the incident occurred in Gagarin Street in the village of Novy Khushet.
