"Kommersant": investigators check disappearance of Murtazaliev in Nemtsov's murder case (+video)

The investigator in charge of Boris Nemtsov murder case has requested the materials of criminal case of the disappearance of Chechen resident Askhab Murtazaliev. This has been reported today by the "Kommersant".

Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder and put under arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Askhab Murtazaliev disappeared in Chechnya on February 28, 2013. His relatives claimed that Askhab had been kidnapped.

The case of the disappearance of Askhab Murtazaliev involves staff members of the Shelkovskaya District Police Station, including Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, a former law enforcer, a defendant in Boris Nemtsov murder case.

However, investigators from the Regional Investigating Department failed to reveal the involvement of the policemen in the kidnapping and murder of Askhab Murtazaliev. This was reported by the "Kommersant" with reference to a source in the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya.

The case instituted in early 2013 by the investigating authorities of Chechnya into the murder of Askhab Murtazaliev was suspended for failure to identify the guilty persons. However, at the request of Nikolai Tutevich, the investigator in charge of particularly important cases supervised by the Chairman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), who studies the circumstances of Boris Nemtsov's murder, the case has been sent to Moscow.
