"LifeNews": leader of "Imarat Kavkaz" killed in Dagestan
As a result of a special operation in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, power agents killed Magomed Suleimanov, the leader of "Imarat Kavkaz", recognized as a terrorist organization, the "LifeNews" reports referring to its law enforcement source. According to the source, Abdula Abdullaev, the Amir of the so-called "mountainous sector" of the republic, was also among the casualties.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10 at 5:35 a.m. Moscow time, the Untsukul District was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, introduced in connection with the search for militants. At night on August 11, sources said that as a result of the CTO, three members of the armed underground were allegedly killed, and that the search for other two-three militants continued.
In the morning, at the site of the armed clash, power agents were inspecting the area and found bodies of four persons, three of whom were pre-identified, said a law enforcement source of Dagestan.
"One of the casualties was Suleiman Magomedov, the self-proclaimed Amir of "Imarat Kavkaz". They also found the body of Kamil Saidov, the Amir of Dagestan; and the third casualty was pre-identified as Abdul Abdullaev, the leader of the mountainous sector of Dagestan," said a source as quoted by the "LifeNews".
