Incident on beach evidences conflict of Chechen power agents with Dagestani colleagues

The actions of Dagestani policemen, who posted on the Internet a record of the interrogation of the Chechen power agent, who, according to their version, disgorged himself onto a beach in Makhachkala, were provoked by the conflict relations among law enforcement bodies of Chechnya and Dagestan, observers say.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that an official check was appointed in relation to two Dagestani policemen, who had videoed an interrogation of a Chechen power agent, who, as they said, disgorged himself onto a beach in Makhachkala.

Tensions between Dagestani policemen and their Chechen colleagues are observed for a long time, as Magomed Shamilov, the chairman of the independent trade union of workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"This hatred is deeply rooted: a few years ago Ramzan Kadyrov's sister was detained in Khasavyurt. Kadyrov came and 'taught lessons' to local policemen. Now, somebody has posted this video. The conflict moves in a very dangerous direction; the situation should be radically cleared out," he said.

Chechen and Dagestani policemen began conflicting well before the incident with Kadyrov's sister, a law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on condition of anonymity.

According to his story, this is especially noticeable in the pre-border districts. The source believes that conflicts stem also from the fact that former members of the armed underground work in law enforcement bodies of Chechnya among other employees.
