Krasnodar residents block street because of power outages

In the evening on August 4, the intersection of Sormovskaya and 30th Irkutsk Division Streets was blocked by residents of Krasnodar, who were outraged about permanent electricity outages in the Komsomolsky micro-district of the city.

According to the Krasnodar police, the traffic along Sormovskaya Street was complicated, as protesters blocked the roadway.

As reported on August 4 by the "Yugopolis", which referred to Artyom Kovalenko, the spokesman of the Department for Krasnodar of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), there were law enforcers within the crowd of people.

"In Krasnodar, residents of two houses, which stay without electricity for a week, have blocked the nearby motor road," the user Irina Novak wrote in her microblog on the Twitter.

According to her story, due to power outages, the 19-storey building has no working elevators; and the water reaches the 8th floor only.

The rally was attended by Nikolai Khropov, the head of the Karasun District of Krasnodar, who communicated with the protesters, the user "Typodar.ru★Krasnodar" wrote in his microblog.

According to his story, the protest action ended after the power supply in protesters' houses was restores.
