Service work of police colonel thought to be main version of his murder in Nalchik

The criminals were nicely familiar with the layout of the house of Takhir Guziev, the chief of staff of the Cherek ROVD (District Interior Division), who was shot dead in Nalchik; therefore, they manage to quickly find him in the household, investigators believe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that an armed attack on the chief of staff of the Cherek ROVD was committed today in his house in Nalchik. The officer died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds. One of his neighbours, who has recently joined militants may be involved in the murder, said a law enforcement source.

The main version of the murder is the officer's professional activities, the "SKNews" was informed at the investigating bodies of the republic.

Apparently, the attackers knew nicely the layout of the house and the daily routine of its tenants – they immediately went to the temporary shed, where the owner of the household was at that time – Takhir Guziev, 45, the chief of staff of the Cherek ROVD. Apart of the police officer, none of his family members, who were in the house, suffered, the "Kommersant" writes.

Investigators have already established that the colonel was shot dead from a pistol and a submachine gun.
