Fourteen apartments damaged during CTO in Nalchik
All the tenants, who lost their property, completely or partially, on July 23 during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in Shogentsukov Street in Nalchik, will receive monetary compensations, said an employee from the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 23 the CTO regime was introduced in the part of Nalchik located within Lenin Avenue and Kuashev, Rybalko, Schors, Kabardinskaya and Tolstoy Streets. According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), six people were killed there. Special services established links of the killed militants with the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), said a law enforcement source.
The CTO conducted in Shogentsukov Street damaged 14 apartments, said Akhmat Ulbashev, the spokesman for the MfE department for Nalchik. According to his story, the final damage has not been calculated yet. The apartment, where militants were hiding, will not be restored for the state budget money.
The LLC "Zhilservis" (housing and utility company) reported that, apart from apartments, the utilities in the above house were also damaged. Besides, for two days after the CTO, the house had no water supply; and its elevator was out of order.
According to tenants of the apartments, located below the one in question, their furniture was deteriorated; and the parquet flooring got wet and spoilt.
