Three residents of Dagestan found guilty of terrorism
The North-Caucasian District Military Court has sentenced three residents of the Tabasaran District of Dagestan – Rustam Alimirzaev, Sirazhul Ramazanov and Tazhutdin Gadjiev – to 15, 11 and 10 years in prison, accordingly, on charges of involvement in the bomb explosion in the village of Khuchni in 2013.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September 23, 2013, in Khuchni, the central settlement of the Tabasaran District of Dagestan, an explosion was triggered near the building of the ROVD (District Interior Division), which was qualified as a terror act. The explosion killed a policeman and an employee of the district branch of the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS); 14 policemen were hospitalized. According to law enforcers, the bomb was triggered by Azim Mukailov, 25, a resident of the village of Kushtil, Khiv District of Dagestan.
Investigators found out that in early 2011, the above defendants created and took part in a terrorist grouping under command of Gasan Abdullaev, which acting on the territory of the Derbent, Tabasaran, Suleiman-Stalsky and Khiv Districts of Dagestan. They were instructed on how to use explosive devices and firearms.
