Resident of Derbent recognizes his relative among those killed in Gedzhukh
One of the two suspected militants killed at night on July 17 in the Derbent District of Dagestan has been identified, said his relative. The Derbent ROVD (District Interior Division) has not confirmed the identification information.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on July 17 two persons were killed in the outskirt of the village of Gedzhukh, who had opened fire at law enforcers. According to the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), policemen were conducting, jointly with employees of other law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, their operative-search activities in the Derbent District of the republic. They tried to stop a Lexus car for inspection, but its passengers opened fire from inside. They were killed by return fire.
One of the casualties was pre-identified as a resident of Derbent Vadim Bedyatov, one of his relatives, who asked not to disclose his name, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The source said that the body was badly burned. "I know nothing about the second one," he said.
