Investigators identify men killed in shootout with law enforcers in Dagestan

During the counterterrorist operation (CTO) carried out not far from the village of Nechaevka, Ibragim Magomedov and Abdurakhman Ibragimov, members of the "Kizilyurt" grouping, were killed. This was reported by the press service of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) carried out in the Kizilyurt District on July 3, two suspected active members of the Kizilyurt grouping were killed. A fighter of the special unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was also killed. The killed suspects have been preliminary identified; however, the information about the suspected militants has not been disclosed.

The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported that the killed men were involved in the murders of Imams in Dagestan and the attack on members of the family of the former chief of the Kizilyurt GOVD (City Interior Division).

According to investigators, the killed men were members of the "Kizilyurt" grouping, the press service of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan reports.

"Ibragim Magomedov, born in 1979, and Abdurakhman Ibragimov, born in 1986, members of the terrorist 'Kizilyurt' grouping, are neutralized," reported the press release published on the website of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan on July 5.
