Relative of Nasyr-Kort casualties states their non-involvement in IAFs

Ali Aliev, a resident of Nasyr-Kort, and his wife Leyla Alieva, who were killed during a special operation in Nazran, were not involved in illegal armed formations (IAFs), said Aliev's brother Magomed Aliev. He called rights defenders to help to bring the participants of the special operation to justice.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 25 the Nasyr-Kort District of the city of Nazran was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. A law enforcement source reported that during the special operation two persons, who rendered armed resistance to power agents, were killed, namely, IAF members Ali Aliev, 43, and his wife Leyla Alieva, 36.

The statement of Magomed Aliev addressed the Ombudsperson in Ingushetia, the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr" and the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", with an appeal to help in establishing and bringing to justice the participants of the above CTO, during which the Alievs were killed, was posted by Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the "Mashr", in his blog that he runs on the "Caucasian Knot".

According to the statement, the Alievs lived at the same address with Magomed Aliev, but in different houses. The latter has stated that in the course of a search, armed men took away from the Alievs' house 18,000 roubles, gold jewellery, medals, and two mobile phones.

Magomed has also reported that he was beaten up by power agents, who accused him, in the course of interrogation, of sending militants to Syria.
