Adler court adjourns consideration of the case of Gritsevich and Kimaev
Today, the consideration of the case of disobeying policemen of journalist Anna Gritsevich and ecologist Vladimir Kimaev did not take place at the Adler District Court. It was postponed indefinitely.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kimaev and Gritsevich were detained in Sochi on June 29 by policemen in the territory of an unauthorized dump in the village of Chereshnya.
In the evening of the same day, the detainees were released after signing an obligation to appear at court today for the consideration of charges against them of disobeying policemen.
The trial did not take place because of the judge's overload, said the advocate Alexander Popkov. He also said that he would lodge a motion on the application of Gritsevich about the injuries caused to her during the detention, and on obstructing her journalistic activities.
Let us remind you that Kimaev and Gritsevich left for the territory of the unauthorized dump following a complaint submitted by the head of the village of Akhshtyr located on the bank of the Mzymta River. According to local residents, the garbage gathered after the flooding in Sochi on June 25 is dumped within the territory of the village.
