People killed by law enforcers near Gimry identified

On June 23, during a shootout in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, two locals – Abdurakhman Abdurakhmanov and Ramazan Kamilbegov, who had been on the federal wanted list, were killed, said the investigating bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on June 23, a shootout broke out in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, near the village of Gimry, during which two suspected militants and a soldier were killed. Local residents have reported that one of the casualties was identified as Ramazan Kamilbegov.

Today, official information about the casualties has appeared. They both - Abdurakhman Abdurakhmanov, born in 1975, and Ramazan Kamilbegov, born in 1979 - were the participants of terrorist grouping, says the statement posted on the website of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to investigators, these two men were in the dugout, revealed by law enforcers in the forested mountainous terrain near the village of Gimry, and opened fire on power agents, fatally wounding one of them. Then, both were shot dead by response fire.

Both casualties are Gimry villagers. "Both had been on the federal wanted list for participation in illegal armed formations (IAFs)," said the spokesman of the Investigating Department, as quoted by the "Interfax-Yug".
