Law enforcers kill two suspected militants in Dagestan

Last night two members of the so-called "Khasavyurt" grouping were shot dead during a special operation, said a Dagestani law enforcement source. According to his version, the members of the illegal armed formation (IAF) were killed in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan.

"Law enforcement agents were checking their operative data about militants' activity; they stopped for inspection a VAZ-21014 car with suspected IAF members inside, who opened fire on power agents and were killed by return fire," the TASS quotes its source from Dagestani law enforcement bodies. Two submachine guns and grenades were found in the place of the shootout.

The casualties were identified as members of a local gang, the Dagestani edition "Chernovik" has specified. Nothing was reported about possible wounded power agents.
