Woman from Makhachkala reports detention of militant's widow

Fatima Kurbanova, a widow of a member of the armed underground, was detained by power agents in Makhachkala, said a local woman, whose children are taught English by Kurbanova. The police have not confirmed this information.

Fatima Kurbanova was detained by law enforcers in the morning on her way to work, as Madina, a resident of Makhachkala, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to her story, today Fatima, who makes her living by tutoring, was to come to her children. After detention, Kurbanova contacted Madina by means of the WhatsApp software, saying that she was delivered to a police station, without specifying the reasons. Later, her phone was already off of Fatima, said Madina, who has not turned for help to rights defenders yet.

The woman has added that Fatima is an observant Muslim; she was the wife of a killed member of the armed underground. According to one of her relatives, Fatima's husband and brother were killed in 2009 during a special operation. According to her version, Fatima's husband was Akhmed Manasov, and her brother's name was Albert Kurbanov.
